Hand-sewn fabric collage inspired by Harlan and Anna Hubbard, pioneers of sustainable living. They spent nine years of their marriage crafting and living in a shantyboat on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. Harlan Hubbard was also an accomplished writer and artist. One of his favorite subjects to paint were the majestic steamboats on the Ohio. This piece honors the steamboat era of a bygone age.
The fabric collage is stretched on canvas stretcher bars and is ready to hang.
